Lauren Graham Gets Her Star! A Gilmore Girls Dream Come True

I’m taking you with me today to the Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony for Lauren Graham! You probably know her as Lorelai Gilmore from the iconic show Gilmore Girls, a total TV classic and one of my all-time favorites.

When I found out she was getting her star, I had to go and of course, I brought my bestie Angie with me. Working in this industry has given me some pretty cool opportunities, and being able to attend events like this (especially as a guest this time!) always feels so special.

I got there early, said hi to a few familiar faces, and caught up with some amazing people before taking my seat. Fun fact — celebrities usually take their photos before the ceremony starts, since once it’s over, everyone rushes to get pictures and it gets hectic fast.

One of my favorite moments was actually pretty funny, while Lauren was up speaking, a worker from a nearby building started filming her in total awe, completely unaware of the giant cameras and fans already surrounding the street. It was such a wholesome, movie-like moment.

In attendance were Gilmore Girls favorites like Kelly Bishop, Matt Czuchry, Scott Patterson, and the show’s creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. Sadly, my childhood crush Chad Michael Murray wasn’t there that would’ve made it perfect!

After Lauren got her star, she spoke with media and then went straight to greet the fans who had been waiting for hours. She signed every poster and took photos with everyone, even though she had a party to get to! The afterparty was at The Aster on Vine, at Lemon Grove (a gorgeous rooftop restaurant that you need to try — the food is amazing).

And what made the day even more special? It was the 25th anniversary of Gilmore Girls! Watching her receive that honor on such a milestone day was just… perfection.
