The NFL may be known for touchdowns and tailgates, but what about the food? Ahead of kickoff, I was part of a select group invited to the NFL’s 2025 season menu tasting at SoFi Stadium and I'm sharing all the details with you + some tips!
“The NFL knows how to take care of their guests.”
From the moment I pulled into VIP parking right at the front entrance, I knew this wasn’t going to be your average stadium experience. The fun part: being escorted straight to Bootsy Bellows in the suites, where an espresso martini was waiting with the view of the field.
“If you don’t know what to order, stick with the LA comfort food.”
Each dish was presented in perfect bite-sized tastings with labels, because no one wants to play the guessing game when sampling sushi, steak, and stadium staples.
Sushi Bar: Salmon, tuna, yellowtail nigiri that rivaled restaurant quality. The ginger? On par with my favorite spot in Studio City called Kiwami.
Tomahawk Steak: Tender, flavorful, finished with a rich rue sauce.
LA Staples: Hot dogs, elote street corn, flautas, and chicken sandwiches—aka, the corner-cart favorites reimagined for SoFi.
Desserts had their moment too, but the real winner? The s’mores pizookie. Gooey, balanced, and the perfect game-day treat and it was my personal favorite!
“What looks easy on TV is actually hard.”
After the tasting, we stepped onto the actual field. Standing in the touchdown zone, football in hand, was a surreal moment, just looking up at the stadium made me realize how small I really was in comparison.
SoFi then surprised us with a field goal kick challenge. Watching it on TV, I always thought it looked simple. Reality check: my kick barely left the ground. NFL kickers? I seriously respect them.
“Some lockers tell stories you won’t see on game day.”
Inside the Rams locker room, designed to mimic a ram’s horn, I learned some scoops you’ll want to know:
This season’s jersey font is taken from the old Hollywood Park Casino sign—an homage to Inglewood’s history.
Aaron Donald’s #99 locker remains untouched in tribute to his legacy.
It’s the kind of detail that connects fans to history in a personal way.
Behind the Menu
“Street food is culture, and this year SoFi is serving it front and center.”
One of the chefs explained how Los Angeles staples—street hot dogs, elote—were intentionally added to the menu to honor the city’s food culture. Later, he invited me into the main kitchen, where 90% of the stadium’s food is prepared. The hustle was inspiring. A massive team, many of them Latino, moving with precision and pride to make sure fans get an unforgettable culinary experience. It felt like the heartbeat of SoFi.
Between the food, the field, and the behind-the-scenes gems, the NFL’s 2025 menu tasting proved that SoFi Stadium is about more than football—it’s about creating a full cultural experience.
So here’s the scoop: if you’re heading to a game this season, don’t sleep on the sushi, the steak, or that s’mores pizookie. Trust me, they’re all worth the hype.
